After a long market PR and anticipation, desksense (Life Line of Your Data), launches yesterday. Check out the screenshots of the application here. You can also download the trial version from their website www.desksense.com

All the features are stripped in a nutshell at the Desksense Center. This screen appears on opening the Application and it provides with all the feature with limited options at one go. One can easily use the detailed one's from the 'Advanced' buttons provided for each section.

This screen appears on opening the application and the initial password is "security". You can modify this password from inside the application.

Select files or folders from your hard drive and lock them. Select them to lock for specific users. You can also choose locking the files/folders with Write-Only Lock or Read-Only Lock. You can find the specific type of files from the Locked list by searching from the middle section. The bottom grid displays the details of the blocked files and folders and options to Unlock them.

You can search websites with specific keywords like 'fun', 'play', etc. and block the desired websites selecting them. The search is completely powered by Google. You can also select websites to block from the Advanced section provided categorically.

You can select the provided options to lock or unlock the external devices and other services as provided. The top-right panel displays the CPU usage and other details regarding your computer.

Click on the 'Learn More' button and you can ascend through the upcoming and available features of Desksense. Flip through the pages using 'Next' button and enjoy the ride...

Enter your current password to change it. If you are changing it for the first time then input "security" as the current password. Then give your desired password in the following boxes to change the default password. Next time you enter Desksense Home you require the new password to Login. So, note it after changing !!!!!

Choose the desired file from the drive to encrypt. You can change the output directory of the encrypted file using the 'Change' button. Then note or remember the auto generated username and provide with/without the password to complete the encryption.Please keep in mind to remember or note down the auto generated username and the password provided by you as a reference when you encrypt a file.If you fail to do so Desksense has no responsibility to decypt your file whomsoever concerned.

Enter the auto generated username and the provided password for the decryption of file . Then click on 'Decrypt' button to decrypt the desired file. You may choose a separate location from the 'Change' button for the output file to be decrypted.

This tab provides with you the feature to select and encrypt the file. Please keep in mind to remember or note down the auto generated username and the password provided by you as a reference when you encrypt a file. If you fail to do so Desksense has no responsibility to decypt your file whomsoever concerned.

This tab provides the facility to decrypt the files that have been encrypted using Desksense Crypt. The username and passwords are a MUST !!! to decrypt the 'Desksense Encrypted Documents'.

As soon as you start Desksense Monitor the application resides in the notifyicon. The possible options can be found by 'Right Click' on the Desksense Monitor notifyicon in System tray. The screenshot displays various applications of Desksense Monitor.

Select at most four applications to block using Desksense. You shall be provided with the option to change the selected applications and finally block them. The applications remain blocked as and when Desksense Monitor runs on your PC.

Click on the "Unblock Applications" button and the following window appears.Select the desired blocked applications and then press "Unblock Selected Applications" to unblock the applications blocked by Desksense.

This page appears by clicking "Compare" button from the "Used Applications" page. The page displays the graph of the used applications on a selected date and also the respective time for each application below.

Select "Check records of used Applications" from the notifyicon of Desksense Monitor and this window appears. Then, select the respective date and view the required data in the grid below.

Press "Check PC Health" button and wait until Desksense gathers required information from your computer. Then it will show the present health of your computer with possible suggestions.

Enter the password provided from Desksense to set Desksense at Windows Startup.

As you open the Application you will find your NTFS drives enlisted in the left box. The drives are sequential as in your PC (NTFS Drive 0- C: Drive, NTFS Drive 1- D: Drive) and so on. Select one of the NTFS drives and then click on the 'Scan files' button to scan the deleted files. The deleted files will get listed in the right-middle box. You can easily find your desired file from the 'Fast Finder'. Then select the intended files and Right Click on them to save them in the desired location of your hard drive.
