Yes Guys, she is the bold Gabriella Demetriades. This Johannesburg student and a Port Elizabeth model, joined the competition for the Miss Bollywood SA title – along with other young women who have stood out from the crowd at IPL matches. The striking Gabriella Demetriades from Port Elizabeth represented the Deccan Chargers after being picked from the crowd of spectators watching the Deccan Chargers take on the Rajasthan Royals.

Gabriella has travelled internationally, including India, and is fascinated by the country. "There are extremes of wealth and poverty," she says, "but the country is diverse and the people are friendly, kind and welcoming – and there's great shopping!" The 22-year-old is impressed with South Africa's handling of the 2009 season of the DLF IPL, considering the tournament was moved here at short notice.

Shah Rukh Khan, Bollywood bigshot and co-owner of the Kolkata Knight Riders, is one person Gabriella would love to meet. She loves to cook and says, "I want him to teach me how to make a really great lamb korma."
