The Big Fat Wedding

Sunday evening the 12th of June 2011, saw the city crowded with star celebrities and high profile business man as industralist Ghanshyam Sarda and Family played the perfect host to Anil and Tina Ambani in the afternoon and Amir Khan and Kiran Rao in the evening.

It was the wedding of city based industrialist Ghanshyam Sarda’s daughter Prerna’s engagement to Abhinav, son of Mumbai based Amitabh Jhunjhunwala, who also happen to be one of the directors with the ADAG. The grand event was held at The Oberoi Grand with a lordly spread vegetarian affair. With Chinese, Mexican, Indian, Rajasthani and Thai on the menu and a parade of stars on the guest list, The Grand Oberoi saw one of its finest events.

With serveral star celebrities from inside the town, the star guests from out of town were, The Ambani couple, Union minister Praful Patel, stock market guru Rakesh Jhunjhunwala and Bollywood's Vidhu Vinod Chopra. Amir Khan with wife Kiran Rao, could not make it to the engagement and hence they dropeed in at the Sarda’s Alipore residence in the evening to bless the newly engaged couple.
