Mumbai Marathon 2010

What is Mumbai Marathon: The Mumbai Marathon is an annual international road running competition that is held in January. This event was first staged in 2004.The prize money for the fastest runners in Men's and Women's category are $31,000 each, with an additional $2,250 being awarded to the fastest Indian citizen (men and women) in the Full and Half Marathon categories.The race categories are Full Marathon (42.195 km), Half Marathon (21.097 km), Dream Run (6 km), Senior Citizens' Run (4.3 km) and the Wheelchair Event (2.5 km).

Kenyan wins 2010 Mumbai Marathon: Kenyan Dennis Ndison won the the seventh edition of Asia's largest marathon in Mumbai on Sunday. Dennis Ndison completed the marathon in 2 hours and 12 minutes.

The Dream run which is the most popular race in the event kicked off at 9.10 from the CST.More than 22,000 people were running the 6 kilometre of the dream run this year. Earlier the half marathon which kicked off at 6.45 am from Bandra was the first to finish. Kumar Sandeep won the 21.09 km race while Jayashree Shivshankar won the honours in the women's category. For the first time in the history of the event, the half marathon did not start from the same point as the full marathon, that is the Azad Maidan, CST. More than 38,000 participants were running Asia's largest marathon this year. Celebrities have come out in large numbers as every year to celebrate the spirit of Mumbai.This year's race saw runners traverse the newly-opened symbol of Mumbai, the sea link between Worli and Bandra. The prize money this year for the full marathon is close to 1.5 crore rupees. The absence of defending champion Kenneth Mungara has placed his Kenyan compatriot and last year's runner-up David Tarus as the hot favourite for the men's crown.

The 67th Annual Golden Globes is the center of the award ceremony season. The hype, the hoopla and of course the delightful speeches. Which is why the Golden Globes is still one of the top award ceremonies in Hollywood.

More than 50 Hollywood stars have been set as presenters at "The 67th Annual Golden Globe Awards" on Sunday, January 17. The show, hosted by Ricky Gervais, will be broadcast live coast to coast on NBC (5 to 8 pm PT, 8 to 11 pm ET) from The Beverly Hilton.
The presenters include Amy Adams, Christina Aguilera, Jennifer Aniston, Kristen Bell, Halle Berry, Josh Brolin, Gerard Butler, Cher, Chace Crawford, Robert De Niro, Cameron Diaz, Leonardo DiCaprio, Colin Farrell, Harrison Ford, Jodie Foster, Matthew Fox, Jennifer Garner, Mel Gibson, Lauren Graham, Tom Hanks, Neil Patrick Harris, Sally Hawkins, Kate Hudson, Felicity Huffman, Samuel L. Jackson, Nicole Kidman, Jane Krakowski, Ashton Kutcher, Taylor Lautner, Sophia Loren, Paul McCartney, Helen Mirren, Jim Parsons, Amy Poehler, Julia Roberts, Mickey Rourke, Zoe Saldana, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Kiefer Sutherland, Sofia Vergara, Olivia Wilde, Kate Winslet, Reese Witherspoon, Sam Worthington and the cast of "The Hangover" (Justin Bartha, Bradley Cooper and Ed Helms).

The 67th Annual Golden Globe Awards" will be seen in more than 160 countries worldwide and is one of the few awards ceremonies that span both television and motion picture achievements.
The special will be produced by dick clark productions in association with the Hollywood Foreign Press Association. Philip Berk is President of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association. Orly Adelson, president of dick clark productions, and Barry Adelman will executive produce the special. Chris Donovan is the director and Bob Bardo is the executive in charge of production.

Periyar University Results

The Periyar University was established by the Act 45 of Government of Tamilnadu in 1997. The University is named after a renowned social reformer popularly called Thanthai Periyar. The University thus established had its origin with the three departments (Commerce, Geology and Mathematics)

The University is situated on the Bangalore National Highways 47, 10kms away from the Salem city and easily connected by road.The University campus extends to about 100 acres.
