Werewolf Syndrome: a Rare Condition Supatra Sasuphan, who lives in Bangkok, Thailand, has a condition called hypertrichosis, also known as Abras syndrome, which causes hair to grow over her entire body, even her face. Congenital hypertrichosis is extremely rare, and has only affected around 50 people since the Middle Ages. Abras syndrome has also been called “werewolf syndrome”, but no lycanthropy is involved, which is good news for the kids who teased Supatra Sasuphan.
