| Benefits of Mutual Funds Investing Posted: 30 Sep 2009 08:25 AM PDT Normally I talk about actively managing your account yourself, but there are a few benefits that you can have by investing into a mutual fund.  1. Don't Have to Watch Your Account Depending on how you manage your account you could possibly look at it every day or many times a day. That can take a lot of time out of your day and can be very stressful. When you are constantly checking your account you will feel great on the up days and terrible on the down days. Letting someone else worry about it is a great way to keep your mind off the market. 2. History is on Your Side History has proven that the market does go up on average and if you stick with mutual funds that consistently matches or beats the market then you can be confident that in the long term the odds are in your favor. History does tend to repeat itself after all. That does not mean that if you put your money in a mutual fund that has done well in the past that it will do just as well in the future. But it does give you at least somewhat of an idea on what to expect. 3. Actively Managing your account is not for everyone Some people just don't like to trade stocks or they are unable to control their emotions. That is ok, everyone is different. If that is the case well then maybe putting your money into a fund that you truly believe in is a much better opportunity. Shamita whom I had never heard of before yesterday, who is younger sister to the woman whose effigy was still a top-seller, as of last year. I'm referring to Big Brother star and Richard Gere-magnet Shilpa Shetty, of course. In a recent award ceremony, Shamita Shetty unwittingly ended up doing the same thing. She seemed to have forgot to wear most essential under garment and few papparazi cameras clicked her 'no no' pictures. The actress went commando, flashing pretty much everything to click-happy photos. The person sitting beside Shamita, in the incident also needs no former introduction. Well, Shamita pulled a Britney, though in my day, it was called a Basic Instinct. She showed up somewhere all of two of you care about in a mini-dress without her "chuddies on" (Thanks, UberDesi). Mid-Day had published the article along with CENSORED picture. I hope this would be first & last incident in bollywood, else where would photoshop experts(read perverts) go. Well well I agree, this news might not be so new to the world, yet my idea of posting it today is to only ask a simple question.
